Disc Brake Pad

Disc brake pads are vital elements within a vehicle's braking system, responsible for generating the friction necessary to slow down or stop the vehicle. These pads are typically made of a composite material, often including friction materials like semi-metallic, ceramic, or organic compounds. When the brake pedal is pressed, hydraulic pressure is applied to the brake caliper, which squeezes the brake pads against the rotating brake disc (also known as a rotor). This friction between the pads and the disc converts kinetic energy into heat, effectively slowing down the vehicle. Disc brake pads play a critical role in ensuring safe and reliable braking performance, providing consistent stopping power even under demanding conditions such as heavy loads or high speeds.
